Have an itch to ditch bad business habits? Need help to jump-start your business? Need expert advice to steer clear of dead ends? WEtech Alliance offers FREE 30-minute sessions with entrepreneurial experts to rekindle passion for your business.
Designed for entrepreneurs or senior management who want to gain direct access to practical, technical, and business-related information. Regular meetings allow participants to share ideas and best practices.
Our Business Advisory Services include Mentors, Business Advisors and Entrepreneurs-in-Residence who work with our clients to help strengthen and accelerate the growth of the region’s entrepreneurial talent and globally competitive innovative companies.
WEtech War Rooms take 4-5 companies who have a specific challenge & pair them with an expert in that field to guide them through the process. Examples include running a Facebook Ad or Google Adwords Campaign, setting up their initial cash flow, projections, pitching to investors, due diligence, etc.

The companies will leave the War Room having completed the task they came to learn.

ScaleUP is the first accelerator program in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent specifically focused on scaling up advanced startups that have hit the milestone of revenue and job creation – or are on the cusp.

1 on 1 sales training and coaching with startups who have surpassed product-market fit. We take the small amount of revenue generated, shape the overall revenue engine, and put together a sales plan that allows the startup to scale. Each week afterward, we meet for one on one sales coaching that focuses purely on tactics. Some examples include: pipeline management, social selling, breaking down calls, voicemails, etc.
Innovation Catalyst works with organizations and companies to activate front line staff to be internal engines of innovation. IC turns the light on – helping your organization generate ideas that lead to improvements in service delivery and efficiency while at the same time opening up channels for commercialization.
The Regional Alliance Network connects clients to key resources and relationships and provides them the opportunity to present their business idea to a key group of community stakeholders, sector-specific professionals and executives.
The Windsor-Essex Entrepreneur Support Network is an infographic designed to help entrepreneurs find organizations providing business assistance in Windsor-Essex County. Users can target the exact support they need based on their business stage and the type of assistance they’re looking for.

Entrepreneur’s Toolkit Workshops powered by MaRS are experiential, hands-on workshops facilitated by experienced entrepreneurs. The workshops offer ventures tools, mentoring and peer feedback to solve specific problems and develop essential business components.


Every successful professional sports team has a development program that cultivates talent from the earliest stages.  Taking a page from professional sports, WEtech aims to build a talent pipeline in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent which directs young people towards the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) from grade school, through high school and university—establishing mentoring partnerships and networks along the way with local industry executives and professionals that will lead to the retention of technology talent in the region through employment—thereby addressing the shortage of skilled workers, engineers, programmers and the like–or through opportunities for graduates to launch tech startups in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.

YKNOT Windsor-Essex's goal is to build a community of inspired young people and connect them with local opportunities, decision-makers, and industry so they can begin to grow and thrive in Windsor-Essex.

High School FIRST Robotics teams from around the world compete in the Windsor-Essex Great Lakes Regional that directs young people into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and the skilled trades.

WEtech Alliance invited thirty high school students from across Windsor-Essex to participate in the ground-breaking Cleantech Academy – a weeklong program that introduces young people to local companies and organizations who operate in the clean tech sector or implement clean technology.

With generous support from the Government of Ontario through the Ontario 150 program – Cleantech Academy provides these students with a life changing experience and a road map to exciting careers in cleantech – a growing sector led by innovative businesses in Windsor-Essex.

Nerd Olympics brings together the Windsor-Essex tech community in a fun, team-building competition to challenge the mind & body.

Sixteen local Tech Company Teams compete in a series of 6 events and 2 Community Challenges with the top 3 finishers in each event receiving a 3D printed medal. The team with the most points at the end of competition, is then crowned Nerd Cup Champions for the year.

Nerd Olympics is also about giving back. The two 2017 Community Challenges saw over $3200 in cash and gift cards, and 385 supplies donated to the Welcome Centre Shelter and 47 blood donations made to Canadian Blood Services.

The 1st cross-border Hacking Health in the world, Hacking Health Windsor-Detroit breaks down barriers to healthcare innovation by bringing together IT and healthcare professionals across the US-Canada border to collaborate, dream up & design apps for patient-centric care.


The WINnovation Map, first launched at the inaugural Windsor 180 Summit in 2015, highlights the amazing innovation and “firsts” coming out of this region.

Tech In The City is a regular video series welcoming experts to talk the latest tech news, apps, gadgets and trends that has the city and world buzzing.

The Social Media Superheroes are a group of local social media super users that meet regularly to discuss social media tips, tricks & best practices; develop & implement local initiatives; and assist local non-profits, businesses & community groups develop & grow their social media presence.
Tech Week YQG is a week-long showcase of all things tech that brings together tech leaders, academic institutions and the community to build a unique experience for entrepreneurs, tech lovers, researchers and investors.

Launched in January 2017, our CANnovation project celebrates our rich history of Canadian innovations and innovators from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Our annual Community Chalk Tweet brings the community together to celebrate Social Media Day on June 30th each year.
