Programs & Services

WEtech is putting together a range of business acceleration programs to support our members and community. Our programs are designed to help strengthen and accelerate the growth of WindsorEssex’s entrepreneurial talent and globally competitive innovative companies.

Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR): The EIR program makes available experienced entrepreneurs to assist clients in accelerating their business growth. In general, EIRs will: assess the client’s commercialization and growth opportunities and issues; provide expertise to the client as the client develops their business strategy, chooses target markets, and finds financing; and directly mentor clients.

Specialist/Analyst: Provides hands-on assistance for projects such as: financial plan development, human resource and/or marketing strategy; assisting with building relationships with new customers and/or partners; assisting with the analysis of market intelligence reports for clients; and/or other projects as identified by an EIR.

Introductory Entrepreneurial Training: Acquaints technology-based (both product and service) industries including entrepreneurs and the full range of businesses with fundamental strategic and operational issues involved in commercializing technology, and growing and managing innovative companies.

Advanced Entrepreneurial Training: Intensive sessions administered to small groups of technology-based (both product and service) industries including entrepreneurs and the full range of businesses.

DeskUP: A program aimed at helping young entrepreneurs graduates take the first step towards startup success in the innovation and technology sector here in Windsor-Essex.

Volunteer Mentors Network: A network of volunteer mentors who provide their time and services to clients. These volunteers may be experienced entrepreneurs and/or industry experts.

Peer-to-Peer Networks: Designed for entrepreneurs or senior management who want to gain direct access to practical, technical and business-related information. Through regular meetings, participants can share ideas and best practices for starting and growing a new or emerging growth company.

Online Education: Online entrepreneur’s toolkit with articles, workbooks, videos, and case studies.

Market Intelligence: Provides highly valuable market research about the industry within which the client operates via the services of a BAP Market Intelligence (MI) analyst who can search for the applicable data.

Service Providers Network: A network of volunteer mentors who provide their time and services to clients. These volunteers are service providers (e.g. lawyers, consultants).
