Windsor’s automotive & mobility innovation ecosystem continues to gain global recognition as Estare Inc. and Transit Rewards have advanced to the Finals of the 18th Annual Global Automotive and Mobility Innovation Challenge (GAMIC).
After competing at the GAMIC Semifinals on February 25, 2026 at the University of Michigan Dearborn, leading mobility and advanced technology startups from across the globe were evaluated live by industry experts. Representatives from WEtech Alliance and Invest WindsorEssex were in attendance to support the Windsor companies as they presented and responded to questions focused on market demand, technical feasibility, and real world adoption.
GAMIC connects high potential automotive and mobility startups with global industry leaders, investors, and strategic partners. Advancing to the Finals places these Windsor based innovators among a select global group shaping the future of transportation.

Representing Windsor on the Global Stage
- Estare Inc. manufactures Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) automotive shipping racks that replace traditional steel alternatives with lightweight, corrosion-resistant composite materials. Their solution reduces transportation costs, improves handling safety, extends product life cycles, and integrates SMART features such as RFID and GPS tracking to modernize automotive supply chains.
- Transit Rewards is transforming sustainable transportation through a digital rewards platform that incentivizes public transit use. By encouraging mode shift away from single-occupancy vehicles, the company helps transit agencies increase rider engagement while generating valuable behavioral insights to improve service planning and emissions reduction efforts.

“We’ve partnered with GAMIC for four years because we’ve seen firsthand how it helps Canadian mobility founders gain real traction in the real world. We’re incredibly proud to see Estare and TransitRewards reach the finals. GAMIC provides more than $400,000 in professional services, opens doors to investors and customers, and helps teams move from pilots to commercial traction. all without taking equity. That’s critical in any international partnership, especially now when protecting Canadian innovation and keeping founders in control is top of mind. We’re proud to support an initiative that turns long odds into achievable milestones.” – Adam Castle, Director of Venture Services & Partnerships, WEtech Alliance
GAMIC’s 18th Final pitch event will take place live on April 14, 2026 during the SAE World Congress Experience in Detroit, Michigan, where finalists will present and have booth space alongside automotive industry leaders.
Congratulations to both teams for representing Windsor, Ontario and Canada on an international stage.
