WEtech Alliance is proud to announce the launch of Cohort 10 of its award-winning ScaleUP Accelerator Program. Applications are now open for this 6-month intensive program powered by Libro Credit Union and in partnership with Communitech and the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FEDDEV). This also marks the program’s 10-year anniversary and celebrates a decade of empowering founders, fostering innovation and driving economic growth across Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
The tenth cohort joins a growing network of alumni who have leveraged the program to launch new products and services, secure investment, expand into new markets, and create meaningful economic impact. Since its inception in 2016, the ScaleUP Accelerator program has assisted 47 companies in getting 179 new products and services to market, helping create 219 jobs and over $39 million dollars in new revenue for its participants.
“Welcoming Cohort 10 in the same year we mark ten years of this work makes you stop and look back. None of this happened on its own. Our founders took the risk, our mentors showed up, our partners believed early and our alumni keep reaching back to help the next group coming through. They built this community. We’ve just been lucky enough to be part of it,” says Adam Castle, Director of Venture Services & Partnerships at WEtech Alliance.
Participants of Cohort 10 will work with a dedicated team of expert Growth Coaches on an individualized growth plan while having an opportunity to attend curated workshops such as AI for Business Development and Pitch Preparation. The program culminates with a Showcase and Pitch Competition for program finalists to compete for a grand prize of $20,000.
The program is open to tech or innovation-based companies that are either headquartered in Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent or are clients of one of the following WEtech partners: Communitech; the Accelerator Centre; Conestoga College; and MACcelerate.
“For 10 years, Libro has been proud to support WEtech’s ScaleUP Accelerator program and its contribution to building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. Together, we’ve helped strengthen our business community by empowering local innovators and businesses, creating jobs, and driving innovation. We look forward to supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and the positive impact they will bring to our region,” says Lori Atkinson, Regional Director, Libro Credit Union.
To celebrate the program’s 10-year anniversary, WEtech will be highlighting alumni success stories, recognizing mentors and partners, and showcasing the lasting impact of the ScaleUP Accelerator Program has had in the region.
The deadline to apply for the tenth ScaleUP cohort is 11:59pm on August 9th, 2026.
