True Phantom Solutions has built a reputation in medical imaging circles for one thing: making the fake look real. The Tecumseh company designs and manufactures synthetic medical training models, known as phantoms, that replicate the physical, mechanical, and imaging properties of human and animal tissue and bones. Its phantoms are used in medical imaging training, research, and procedural simulations by hospitals, universities, and health tech companies around the world, and the company holds patents in both Canada and the U.S. for its bone-mimicking materials.
True Phantom Solutions is Growing
The company is investing a total of $1,412,240 to expand its capacity and add new product lines, including a female full-body and torso phantom and a small dog phantom, and expects to create six new jobs in the process. The expansion is being supported in part by a $188,816 grant from the province through the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.

The new products build on work already underway at True Phantom. Its Adult Female Torso Phantom, developed using AI-derived CT data in collaboration with medical professionals in the U.S. and Switzerland, has already set a new standard for anatomical accuracy in medical imaging education. Expect the same level of precision from the female full-body model and the small dog phantom now in development, adding to a veterinary line that already includes dog, rat, and other animal phantoms.
