2nd Annual YQGgreen Expo

The Expo has four parts – to allow for a mix of outdoor recycling, indoor booths, educational panels and networking.

The YQGgreen EXPO, presented by Windsor Port Authority, will be held on Saturday, October 26th, from 9 AM to 4 PM at the WFCU Centre. This exciting event will feature three key components:

1. YQGgreen Indoor EXPO Trade Show – Explore a showcase of local green businesses and community groups. (Inside Collavino Hall /Sport & Leisure Gyms).
2. YQGgreen Drop-off & Drive-thru – WFCU Centre parking lot, where community groups and City of Windsor departments will be set up.
3. YQGgreen Career Zone – Discover green job opportunities in our region sponsored by Invest Windsor Essex and WEtech Alliance.

About Canada’s Waste Reduction Week:

Since 2001 the Waste Reduction Week in Canada campaign has engaged Canadians to better understand the issues of waste and the opportunities they have to accelerate our transition to a circular economy. Starting with a focus on recycling education and collection events, it has now expanded into a month-long celebration.

Now part of the larger month-long campaign, Waste Reduction Week continues to educate about the waste reduction component of a circular economy, focusing on major waste streams and topics.
