Global Game Jam (January 26-February 1)

Don’t forget to register! Yet another year of meeting cool people, challenging yourself, and making a nifty brand new game! We here at Hackforge LOVE all games, so feel free to make a video game, board game, or card game!

Our Hybrid Global Game Jam site returns this year from Jan. 26 – Feb. 1, 2026, and we’ve got lots of lead-on programming, so head to the Events section of the newsletter to be sure you don’t miss any of the action!

Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend!

This year’s open work hours schedule will be finalized with participants at the kickoff party.

What’s a Game Jam?
A game jam is similar to a hackathon where people come together for a short period of time to create games around a central theme revealed at the start of the jam.
