Scaling with AI | Laying the Groundwork Before You Grow (virtual)

October 21 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
$20.00

Join us for a practical, interactive session on setting AI ground rules for your growing business.

Right now you probably know who on your team is using AI and roughly what for. You may not have written any of it down, and it has been fine.

Then you hire three people in six months. Each one arrives with habits from their last job, their own favourite tools, their own sense of what is fine to paste into a chatbot. Nobody is doing anything wrong.

There is just no shared answer to any of it, and by the time that becomes obvious you are unpicking it across a dozen people instead of setting it up across four.

This session is about laying ground rules for responsible AI use now, before you get burned.

Avery Swartz, Founder and CEO of Camp Tech and Co-Lead of AI Skills Lab Canada, works through the practical decisions that scaling companies have to make about AI, and gets specific about each one.

Learning Objectives:

  1. What counts as sensitive in your business. Not the general answer, the one specific to your customer data, your pricing, your unreleased work.
  2. Which tasks AI should never touch, and how to make that call consistently rather than case by case
  3. How to run any new AI use through the same quick path: what the task is, what you are trying to achieve, what could go wrong, and what you do about it
  4. Who checks AI-assisted work before it leaves the building, what they are looking for, and what happens when it does not pass
  5. The tool and account decisions that start to matter once you have staff, including free versus paid, what MCP connections to enable, and where your data ends up in each
  6. How to talk about all of this with your team so it holds up as you grow, rather than living in a document nobody opens

Attendees receive Camp Tech’s AI Adoption Framework, Oversight Checklist for AI Generated Work, and AI Use and Values Alignment Worksheet, built to be used with a team rather than filed away.

PLUS, hear what’s next in WEtech’s AI programming, including AI Build Day in February 2027.
