POSITION SUMMARY:
Depending on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications, the role will be classified to reflect level of seniority. We ask that all interested applicants submit their application for consideration.
Our Business Analysts are responsible for driving process transformation through adoption of technology solutions to meet healthcare customer requirements. This role leads the investigation and recommendation for new initiatives and is the primary TransForm resource responsible for the planning, capturing of current processes, designing new processes, coordinating other services from TransForm departments (procurement, information management or technology implementation) and support the process of transformation projects. A key element of the role is to act as liaison between the customer and users, vendors, and the other TransForm portfolios) in the provision of process transformation and application solutions.
For senior roles it is expected to provide leadership assistance to the management team such as subject matter expertise (SME), leadership on major projects and coaching/mentoring of supporting staff.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
This position has a primary focus on the Oracle Health Information Exchange (HIE) solution under the following types of responsibilities:
- Leads the investigation and recommendation of regional and provincial solution proposals (process transformation and or solutions, including development of business cases, RFP’s) for assigned areas of responsibility (customers, subject areas).
- Liaison between the hospital clinicians/leaders, TransForm’s information services professionals and relevant project team members; fostering collaboration and shared direction.
- Leads the delivery of process transformation activities and/or application solution implementation activities including managing project resources and work activities for assigned work-streams in accordance with regional project management methodologies.
- Assist with the documentation of workflows to support both operational and project activities including mapping models which will help facilitate design, build and testing to achieve process improvements and gains in adoption.
- Leads the ongoing investigation of newrelevant process transformation solutions through participation in various IT industry and healthcare groups including establishing peer hospitalprofessional practice networks and strong vendor relationships. Knows the solution practice (processes, data, reporting requirements) and leads continuous improvement activities to ensure effective use of deployed assets.
- Act as a SME with respect to assigned system and / or functions and works as part of a regional support model to resolve production issues relative to established service level agreements (SLA) targets.
- Where applicable, designs, builds (configures) and maintains core system tables and settings (by directly or indirectly oversees work of support staff and “super-users”) – to ensure system operating as defined and to safeguard the system against unauthorized changes.
- Plays a key role in the creation, validation and execution of all system Change Requests.
- Champions the establishment of regional and provincial standards on processes, solution sets, dataprocess flows, and reporting solutions.
MUST- HAVES:
- Minimum 3 year college diploma or University Degree relative to information technology, health sciences, business administration
- Minimum two to four (2-4) years experience (4-6 for senior roles) in supporting workflow/process redesign and/or supporting application solutions or technology support services in a complex environment.
- Experience in leading or participating in large scale transformation and/or application implementation.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, vendors and team members.
WE VALUE:
- Oracle Health (Cerner) knowledge is an asset
- Working experience in implementation of large scale application solutions in the healthcare sector.
- Healthcare workflow/process transformation and/or IT related experience an asset.
- Experience with lean methodologies/principles an asset
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite products, including Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and OneNote.
OTHER CONDITIONS:
- After hours support to resolve critical service tickets requiring immediate attention escalated by manager on-call.
- May occasionally be exposed to additional hazards traditional found in a healthcare environment when on-site to provide services related to observing, troubleshooting, training, at the elbow support, etc.
- Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
