POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager of Change Management and Training, the Training Coordinator will work closely with other project team members, as well as clinical and non-clinical staff to gain a thorough understanding of the new Hospital Information System (HIS) and will focus on training coordination and go-live activities, with a view to ensuring the readiness of end users prior to go-live. Specifically, this role will help coordinate training activities for both new and future end-users to support the training and adoption of a new, regional Hospital Information System (HIS) by:
• Utilizing established change management theory and practices that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement
• Assessing and identifying the training needs of end users, deploying an integrated training strategy, providing input into the curriculum, coordinating the development of training materials and
• Coordinating the tactical delivery program for training and “at the elbow” support for the go-live launch and stabilization period, and successful adoption of the new HIS for TransForm’s customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Coordination of training activities and trainers, support to training team, maintaining the training schedule and managing logistics to ensure all users are trained prior to the launch of the HIS.
• Collaborate with leadership to enroll staff for training.
• Work with the Training Specialists, hospitals’ Clinical Leaders and the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to develop professional staff training schedule.
• Contribute to scheduling of credentialed trainers.
• Secure external space for training.
• Ensure training equipment is in good working order and any technical requirements have been met.
• Contribute to successful end-user training.
• Ensure training materials are prepped for each training session.
• Respond to staff questions and concerns.
• Track training participation rates, attendance, and feedback for reporting purposes.
• Provide a great learning environment, effectively communicate status, and resolves issues.
• Responsible for coordinating and allocating Training Specialists, including scheduling and prioritizing of Specialists’ workloads
• Identify and help to resolve issues and conflicts within the training team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

MUST- HAVES:
• Minimum two (2) year college certificate in administration, training, adult learning or other related field
• Minimum two to four (2-4) years experience delivering training content
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated proficient communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.
• Proven track record working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and results-oriented.
WE VALUE:
• Certified Training Practitioner (CTP) or other related certification an asset
• Minimum two to four (2-4) years experience delivering training content
• Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) an asset
OTHER CONDITIONS:
• Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
