5th Annual Build a Dream Employer Symposium

What is the Build a Dream Symposium?

Join other employers in learning from local and out of town keynote speakers on how to practically diversify your workforce. This daytime event is an excellent professional development opportunity for you and your staff members.

This year’s keynote speaker is a passionate rocket scientist, adventurer, diversity advocate and Canadian, Natalie Panek

A reception will follow the day to network and connect with other industry leaders.

What is the Build a Dream evening event?

At 4:30 we will start welcoming young women and their parents to an evening where they can learn about the career opportunities that young women have in industries where women tend to be underrepresented. These guests will have the opportunity to engage with you at your booth in addition to taking part in interactive activities and learning from panel discussions. This portion of the event will run until 8:30 PM If you’re interested in setting up a booth to represent your company, contacts below.

Build A Dream   Organizer of Build a Dream Employer Symposium

Founded in 2012, Build a Dream is designed to attract, encourage and recruit female students to pursue careers in skilled trades, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and law enforcement.

  • We create programs that will encourage young women to consider various career opportunities and make informed decisions.
  • We develop partnerships with sectors to offer hands on camps for young women to experiences these job sectors.
  • We help provide the right tools, resources, and mentorship to young women.
  • We also provide parents with the tools to help their children make informed career choices.
