Bootcamp for Technical & Non-Technical Professionals

March 28 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Launched through a partnership between Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst (Toronto Metropolitan University) and the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange, the Cyber Integration for Businesses program is a major new initiative built to train key personnel, including senior leaders, procurement advisors and IT professionals with sector-specific programming. The training focuses on cyber technology adoption, best-practices and integration strategies.

Designed to address the unique cybersecurity needs of organizations operating in key sectors in Ontario — including the automotive sector — the Cyber Integration for Businesses program seeks to advance the competitiveness of the participating companies by strengthening their cybersecurity posture, thereby empowering them to access national and international supply chains.

This specialized bootcamp is designed for one or more staff within the participating companies – ideally, those with responsibility for technology planning, procurement, integration, and operations. Programming will include experiential learning, interactive discussions, and access to insights from cybersecurity experts. Learners will be provided job aids such as checklists and templates for use within their organizations, and qualifying companies will also gain access to a one-year associate membership within CCTX.

Topics include:

  • Foundational cybersecurity risks

  • Sector-based standards and compliance

  • Cybersecurity technologies and processes

  • Cyber risks for new products or services

  • Security-by-design principles and their application in product development

  • Enterprise and supply chain cybersecurity due diligence requirements
