Canada South Science City; a 5 Part UNI-COM Universe Series

A series of 5 popular interactive talks with distinguished University Professor Emeritus and physicist Bill Baylis  will be held in the Science Café.
The UNIVERSE—What is It (and how do we know)?

1.    Our evolving perception of cosmos from ancient times to the present(Jan. 29)
2.   The  structure of the universe and our place in it (February 5)
       a. Earth-moon system
       b. Our solar systems, including the Kuiper belt and Oort cloud
       c. The Milky Way galaxy and stellar evolution
      d.  Local galactic cluster
      e. Looking into the past to the beginning of time and space
3.   Time and Distance Scales: how do we know? (February 12)
4.  Relativity and Light (February 19)
5.  The Quantum Universe (February 26)
