Character Design (with Scratch!)

This one is for the seasoned “Scratchers!”
Have you already learned Scratch with us, and interested in taking your project to the next level? This workshop is for learners who have an existing Scratch project that they want to customize further. We’ll use tools like Piskel and the Scratch costume editor to create custom sprites with animation!

Once we’ve completed our designs, we’ll upload our characters into Scratch. We’ll take some time to build upon our projects, then share them with each other. We also encourage learners to upload their unique projects to the Scratch online community for others to enjoy!

For this workshop, it is aimed at girls 9-12 years of age. An adult needs to be present in the room with the participant at all times.

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge in Scratch. Please have an existing Scratch project ready to customize!
