Creating Opportunities for Black Professionals in the Tech Space

February 10, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade is a phrase used to encourage optimism and a positive attitude regardless of challenges. For some Black men and women, lemons come in many forms: no job opportunities, workplace discrimination, racial bias, lower wages and many more.
The tech industry is built on change and agility, but it hasn’t really moved the needle on workplace diversity, according to an article titled ‘What It’s Like To Be a Black Man in Tech’ – Harvard Business Review.
As we celebrate Black History Month, in this virtual interactive session we’ll explore some challenges Black professionals face and how we can take steps to improve them.

Want to:

  • Know the truth about microaggressions you may face being Black in tech?
  • Hear the stories of people who have overcome challenges and broken the glass ceiling to thrive in tech?
  • Learn more about how you can create better opportunities for Black talent – for real?

Let’s chat about it in the BPTN and RBC Masterclass on Thursday, February 9, 2022. See you there!
