EPICentre -Bird's Eye View of Venture Capital with Megh Gupta

Megh Gupta will be providing an overview of his experiences in venture capital. The various funding rounds and the differences between angel investment and venture capital will be covered.
In his role as Senior Associate at OMERS Ventures, Megh Gupta is responsible for helping find and execute on investment opportunities in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors.
Prior to joining OMERS Ventures, Megh spent three years in the Strategy and New Ventures team at Torstar Digital, the online division of Canadian media company Torstar. While there, Megh helped develop, launch and lead online businesses in the personal finance and mobile retail shopping sectors. He also helped manage the company’s corporate venturing initiatives and strategic planning activities.
Prior to Torstar Digital, Megh worked in private equity, management consulting, and briefly dabbled in entrepreneurship in India.
Megh graduated summa cum laude with an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and also received an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He holds a CMA accounting designation.
