EPICentre; How Can IP Offices Help Start-Ups?
April 4, 2016 @ 1:30 am - 4:30 pm
FREEEPIC is proud to announce an information session on the role of Intellectual Property offices in helping startups and entrepreneurs protect their IP rights . The event is designed to offer insights on various IP tools and resources provided by IPOs to help startups and entrepreneurs navigate the IP system.
Have you ever wondered what kind of resources are available to start-ups when it comes to intellectual property rights? IP is extremely important when thinking about innovation and plays a major role for young technology-driven start-ups in Canada. The Canadian Intellectual Property Office, a special operating agency of Industry Canada, is responsible for administering Canada’s system of IP rights: patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs and integrated circuit topographies. They primarily serve innovators, inventors and the Canadian business community and also work closely with the IP agent community to act as intermediaries in representing many of their clients.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in intellectual property.
