EPICentre: Social Enterprise Summit

The Social Enterprise Summit will be held in the  Odette School of Business Facilities and those registered will meet at the Main Auditorium 104. The Social Enterprise Summit will comprise of presentation and experiential elements to provide a unique learning experience ranging from topics of growing and scaling your enterprise, measuring social impact, synergizing and kick-starting your social enterprise, and verge capital.

The goal is to facilitate a range of essential impact items that will help our audience better understand what the spirit of social innovation is all about.

Experts from diverse background across Ontario will be coming in to share their personal experience on social innovation, and what it takes to be successful in the entrepreneurial realm.

Lori Nickel from Second Harvest has been asked to Keynote this monumental day of innovation, touching on her expertise as CEO of Canada’s largest food rescue mission.

Moving forward we will be honoured to share the floor with Andrew Vashist, Director of Social Enterprise from Pillar who will discuss his experience regarding Verge Capital social financing and Lindsay Lorusso, Chief Creator of Nudnik, which offers a unique and revolutionary social impact element through a creative solution in the waste management industry.

The Social Enterprise Summit will begin with a presentation from our Keynote, Lori Nikkel, who will then turn the floor over to local social enterprise founder Dane Fader who will share his experience about GreenerBins and the challenges and Triumphs he has had in the Windsor-Essex Region. Andre Vashist and Lindsay Lorusso will then take the floor, sharing their experiences before we engage in a panel based Question and Answer section with all members contributing to any questions or comments the audience might have throughout the event.
