EPICentre; Values, Impact and Enterprises: Broadening the Reach of your Research

Are you an innovative researcher? Do you have an idea for the next best thing or a message that needs to be spread?
This full day workshop will focus on bridging the gap from research to starting a company. The morning sessions will go over the opportunities for research and enterprise, such as how to start a business to commercialize an invention or to help with knowledge mobilization, how to structure your business and find your niche market, and what resources are available to help you along the way. After a provided lunch, there will be two panel-facilitated discussions focused on Engineering and Science or the Social Sciences with guest speakers who have been successful in starting their own company. A networking reception will close the day and you will leave with the skills needed to being the process of expanding your research in a new frontier!
