Hackforge; How to Build a Better TECH Community

If you’re a tech worker, manager, or owner – this is for you! There are steps at every level to increase diversity and inclusivity within the tech industry and community. Join us for an evening of solutions and action.
7:00 PM:
TechTown Detroit’s Diversity and Inclusion Entrepreneur-In-Residence  Marlin Williams, speaks on her experiences and advice for companies and teams.
Panel discussion with Ms. Williams; Elana Freeman, a project manager for Thyssenkrupp; Lori Dunford, a local computer programmer, and Sarah Mushtaq, an MBA candidate at the Odette School of Business.
While focused in the tech industry, the practical steps discussed can be applied to any organization looking to improve gender, racial, and cultural diversity.
This is the final event under the Computer Girls initiative, in partnership with Women’s Enterprise Skills Training INC. (WEST), funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Join us after the panel discussion for a small reception for the program.
