Hackforge | OSM Field Mapping

April 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

FREE

Now that spring is here we’re excited to get back outside for some OpenStreetMap field mapping!

This time we’re going to cover Sandwich Town in Windsor’s west end. We’ll meet at the John Muir Branch of the Windsor Public Library (363 Mill St.) for 6pm, and from there will explore one of the oldest settlements in Ontario. This neighbourhood features parks, commercial establishments, and infrastructure that have yet to be comprehensively mapped in OSM – so we’ll be getting as much of that as we can logged into the database!

Be sure to download Every Door (https://every-door.app/) and sign in using your OSM credentials ahead of time, so we can make the most of our mapping time.

This is a “weather permitting” event! Please keep an eye on our socials for any updates, and make sure to register through the Hackforge website – we’ll be contacting registrants on the day of the event with weather updates.
