Lab2Market Info Session

2M is the first national-level program in Canada to fund and equip graduate students and their faculty supervisors with the entrepreneurial skills needed to assess the commercial viability of their university-based research innovations. We are looking for graduate students with big ideas who believe that their tech research can solve real-world problems.

Together with the direct involvement of their faculty supervisors and the support of mentors, the graduate students will go through a program that provides the resources, training and guidance needed to take their innovation to market. Teams can expect to gain a deeper understanding of their market and how their research/technology can address the needs of their customers. Teams will receive $15,000 to cover expenses over the duration of the program.

They will also be introduced to a vast network of commercialization experts, instructors, investors and mentors.

The program will be delivered by I-INC member institutions, Ryerson University and Dalhousie University over four cohorts.
Ryerson University will deliver the first cohort, beginning in May 2020 and will service teams from Southern Ontario.
