PART 1:

Did you know that the Government of Canada buys billions of dollars worth of goods and services each year? Do you think they only buy from big companies? Would you be surprised to learn that many of these contracts are awarded to small businesses in Canada?

PART 2:

Are you an innovator? Whether you are working from your home, an academic in a university lab, or a scientist in a small, medium or a major corporation, the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program is looking for your solutions to help solve defence and security challenges.

IDEaS supports the development of technology solutions from their conceptual stage, through prototype testing and capability development. The program provides funding and developmental resources, promotes collaboration between innovators, and provides opportunities for innovators to interact with Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces’ scientific and military experts.

This session will provide an overview of the IDEaS program and discusses its program elements including Competitive Projects, Innovation Networks, Contests, Sandboxes, and Test Drives. The Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program is looking for your solutions to help resolve defence and security challenges.
