DSC UWindsor is proud to welcome renowned Cyber Security professional Current ISARA Corporation Vice President and former BlackBerry Executive Paul Lucier on Friday February 7, 2020 to the University of Windsor for an informative discussion on emerging trends in Quantum Computing and what its impact on the state of Cyber Security. When it comes to revolutionary technologies, quantum computing has become one of the latest buzzwords. With great positive potential, there can be equally negative disruption. Quantum computing promises incredible breakthroughs, some we understand and some we can only imagine. It’s also a nightmare for security specialists and a dream come true for government-sponsored hackers and those wishing to attack our most sensitive data and systems. This talk will examine both sides of quantum with a focus on exploring the need to address cyber defenses first in order to make quantum computing a strategic enabler.
Doors will open at 10:45am to allow for you to register and grab some light refreshments. The session will start promptly at 11:00am running till 12:00pm with a Q & A period from 12:00pm – 12:30pm.
