St. Clair College Genesis Centre; STEM Showcase

On May 10th the St. Clair College STEM Club will be hosting the STEM Showcase Event for high school students and their parents to encourage them to pursue careers in STEM and skilled trades.
It will feature a panel of women in STEM professions talking about the coolest things about their jobs as well as showcasing some of our current STEM Club members.
This event will occur through virtually and will also be a fundraising effort with the proceeds being donated to the Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor (also known as WEST). This non-profit organization runs technical and life skills training program specific to the needs of visible minority women residing in Windsor-Essex.
St. Clair College is proud to be in partnership with their Women in Skilled Trades program and as such, our STEM Club members decided they would make a great choice as a recipient for our fundraising efforts. We will have representatives from the College on-hand to answer questions about our STEM programs and our club members will be taking on a mentorship role for the high school students attending the event.
