A Canadian runner who specializes in the 800m. She has competed in both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, during the 2016 Olympics she ranked 3rd in the world. She won a silver medal at the 2015 world athletics championship; this medal was the first ever won in the 800m by a Canadian woman. She graduated from the University of Windsor and is only the third Canadian woman to achieve a time under 2 minutes in the 800m. She is currently the national record holder for this distance. Melissa is currently training for Tokyo 2021. Come out to hear Melissa’s incredible story!
