Join Friendly Robot Aaron for a whirlwind introduction to the open-source framework that’s taking the robotics world by storm and is behind much of the recent explosion in robot capabilities: ROS, the robot operating system. Originally developed at Willow Garage, ROS is a cross-language middleware, a suite of tools and common libraries, and a huge ecosystem of robotics functionality from leading universities and companies worldwide.
Aaron Mavrinac is a robotics and automation engineer born, raised, and trained in Windsor. After picking up a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the U of W, he went to Silicon Valley to work on Bosch’s ROS-based automated driving protot
