Tech Town(Detroit); So You Want to Start a Business, Tradeshow & Buyers

The 11th in the DGG Fashion Business Workshops 12-month series is, “So You Want To Start a Business: Going to Tradeshows & Working with Buyers”. You have a line or a unique product, and are ready to put it out to the world. Better know how to work with a buyer! And what about tradeshows? Are they right for you? If so, which one??? This workshop will give you the knowledge you need to not only identify the people and shows that will help you get your product into the hands of your customer, but also prove to buyers that you are the real deal.
The workshop, taking place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (feel free to bring your dinner!) on Tuesday, September 20 at TechTown, will be led by , and will cover:

• How to know when you’re ready to contact a buyer

• Creating and keeping relationships with buyers

• In-house sales vs. contracted sales: which is better for you

• Does a trunk show make sense now?

• How many pieces should you launch with

• Ways to save at a trade show

Open to the public, “So, You Want To Start a Business: Going to Tradeshows & Working with Buyers” workshop is $20 and will be held in the Proving Grounds conference room at TechTown Detroit, home of the DGG Fashion Incubator. TechTown is located at 440 Burroughs St., in Detroit. ONLY 30 SEATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS INFORMATIVE WORKSHOP!!!
