UX/UI Two Day Summer Series | Live Online

July 19, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

FREE

Whether your teen, aged 13 to 17, is learning a new skill or taking their coding knowledge to the next level, we’ve got workshops available throughout July and August for all levels. All of our summer camps are live online and free to attend. Your teen can sign up for as many camps as they’d like! Maybe invite a few friends over and have them do it together!

Note: This event is live-online and is not restricted to a specific province or territory. We encourage all learners from across Canada to join us!

Important: Registering in this series will enroll you in BOTH of the following workshops and attendance in both is expected upon registration. Prior to registering, we ask you to please confirm that you are able to attend both sessions. (July 19 and 20). If you are unable to attend, please let us know at your earliest convenience so we can let the next person on the waitlist in.

These workshops intentionally build on one another and attendance in both is critical to your learning. If you do not attend the first day, you will be automatically unenrolled in Part 2.

Learn about User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design

This workshop is all about human centric design. Learners will conduct user research, design with empathy, follow the design cycle, and create their own paper prototypes. At the conclusion of this two part workshop, learners will have created a functional prototype application in Marvel App.

What You’ll Need:

  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape or glue
  • Pens or markers
  • An internet-connected device (preferably a laptop)

Who is this for?  Our Teens Learning Code workshops and events offer female-identified, trans, and non-binary youth ages 13-17 opportunities to take action on ideas that will shape our future while leveraging the power of technology. Our learning experiences are much more than learning how to code. Our experiences empower teens to learn problem solving skills, how to turn ideas into reality, exposure to what a future in technology could look like, and much more.

Prerequisites:   N0ne! This workshop is designed for beginners.

What’s Included: An awesome lead instructor and industry mentors!
