Virtual Accelerator | Women Going Global

The Canadian Export Challenge (CXC) Virtual Accelerators aim to provide current and aspiring entrepreneurs with guidance that addresses the most relevant aspects of the preparation and execution stages of the export journey.
The Women Going Global Accelerator is an event designed to support women entrepreneurs who are thinking about, working towards, or are already exporting their products or services.
The hour and a half sessions will include a mix of presentations, Q&A opportunities and small breakout sessions for more in depth conversations.
This session will include:
A presentation and Q&A with Jennifer Cooke, Corporate Lead, Women in Trade, Export Development Canada
A presentation and Q&A with Stephanie Fontaine, Canada Country Director, WEConnect International
A pitch preparation session
Breakout sessions with subject matter experts
About the speakers
Jennifer Cooke, Corporate Lead, Women in Trade, Export Development Canada
Jennifer joined EDC in 2010 to work directly with Canadian companies and help them succeed in international markets.
As the new Corporate Lead for EDC’s Women in Trade Strategy, her job is focused specifically on helping more women entrepreneurs export to grow their business.
Working directly, as well as through key partners, EDC is,offering specialized trade knowledge, facilitating trade with financing and insurance, and providing connections to enable companies to go, grow and succeed globally.
Stephanie Fontaine, Canada Country Director, WEConnect International
Stephanie Fontaine is the Canada Country Director for WEConnect International, a global organization whose mission is to help women-owned businesses succeed in global value chains. Stephanie provides leadership for the Canadian market and helps women-owned businesses leverage certification and corporate supply chains as tools for growth.
