“Jaclyn San Antonio is an educator, researcher, and community advocate with over 15 years of experience in leadership positions across government, higher education and non-profit sectors. As a racialized, second-generation immigrant woman, her work is driven by an anti-oppression approach that seeks to advance equity and inclusion for diverse communities through systemic organizational change and sustainable allyship. In her current capacity as a Senior Advisor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the City of Pickering, Jaclyn leads the development of policies and practices that aim to dismantle barriers around sexism, racism, poverty, ableism, and other forms of oppression for marginalized communities. She is also pursuing a PhD in social justice education at the University of Toronto, where her research explores the precarity of women’s living circumstances in post-disaster resettlement spaces in the Global South. In her spare time, Jaclyn translates her passions for creative learning, teaching and storytelling through photography and videography.”
