Virtual Reality with A-Frame (Windsor)
Time: 4pm-6pm Location: Riverside Public Library, 6305 Wyandotte St E, Windsor, ON N8S 4S5
Virtual reality (VR) provides immersive storytelling and gaming opportunities, and is a new medium for creativity and self-expression. VR has become increasingly accessible through tools like WebVR, where users can develop, experience, and share VR projects in their browser.
A-Frame is a free, open source framework for developing WebVR, based in HTML. Because it is cross-platform, we can experience A-Frame projects using anything from an Oculus Rift, to the browser on our desktop computer.

We’ll be honouring all of our Tech Award winners with a unique, Windsor-made Tech Award created with the help of our #YQG tech friends DERKZ and Parker DKI .The Tech Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase the impactful leaders in the local tech sector and to strengthen networks within the tech community. Close to 150 people will attend, comprising tech entrepreneurs, CEOs and tech start-ups, plus corporate advisors, investors, tech consultants and media.
This year’s award will piggyback on the 4th Annual Nerd Olympics “Nerd Cup” Ceremony and will be followed by a special STEM Movie at Lakeshore Cinemas.
