We’ve partnered with Canada Learning Code and their Code Mobile to make sure that Windsorites, particularly women, girls and people with disabilities, indigenous youth and newcomers – have access to the knowledge they need to prosper in our digital. In celebration of Women Entrepreneurship Week (WEW) and Tech Week YGQ, we are inviting founders, leaders, women in tech, male champions, and professionals to join us in discussing how we can promote successful women leaders and entrepreneurs who are creating a more diverse tech, innovation and business ecosystem.

This event will uncover amazing stories and shed light on what’s being done to “Move the Dial” and how you can take part.

Generative Art Making with Processing for St. Clair College Students

WEtech Alliance and Zekelman School of Business and IT has partnered with The Code Mobile to offer a hands-on & interactive workshop to equip St. Clair College students with the skills of the future. They are offering a Generative Art Making with Processing.

The Code Mobile is excited to host this generative art programming workshop with Processing! This workshop will focus on teaching the fundamentals of computer programming in a visual context, and highlight how simple mathematical equations can create beautiful and engaging outcomes. There is one goal of Tech Vote and it’s to encourage our regional Tech Community to go out and vote in the 2019 Federal Election. No events are planned, however keep an eye out on social media for updates on useful tool and tech to assist you leading up to voting day.

The YQG Tech Awards are a fun, informal way of recognizing technology innovators of all stages for their achievement and success in our community. There’s no dress code and no speeches to give. We’ll be honouring all of our Tech Award winners with a unique, Windsor-made Tech Award created with the help of our #YQG tech friends.The YQG Tech Awards provide a fantastic opportunity to showcase the impactful leaders in the local tech sector and to strengthen networks within the tech community.  Close to 150 people will attend, comprising tech entrepreneurs, CEOs and tech start-ups, plus corporate advisors, investors, tech consultants and media.

This year’s award will piggyback on the 4th Annual Nerd Olympics “Nerd Cup” Ceremony and will be followed by a special STEM Movie at Lakeshore Cinemas.
