Karen Behune Plunkett, President and CEO of WEtech Alliance along with the Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Adam Davis has assumed the role of Chair of the Board of Directors for the 2012/2013 term. Frank Abbruzzese has assumed the role of Vice-Chair for the same period. Both Directors have played a pivotal role in the establishing of the Softech Alliance Network, now operating as WEtech Alliance. The Board and management of WEtech Alliance look forward to their continuing leadership. A special thank you to Rob Courteaux, our Past Chair for his hard work and leadership.
ABOUT ADAM DAVIS AND FRANK ABBRUZZESE:
Adam Davis
President/CEO, Next Dimension Inc.
Sector: Information and Communications Technologies
Adam Davis is the President and CEO of Next Dimension Inc.; one of the largest privately owned IT Services Company in Southwestern Ontario. In this role, Adam is responsible for the overall day to day operations of the business which includes managing its operations in Windsor, London and Detroit. Adam has a comprehensive systems design and implementation background which includes a number of industry specific certifications. Throughout his career Adam has a demonstrated a natural spirit of entrepreneurialism and an instinctive head for business. Adam has also gained a vast amount of insight and functional experience in finance and business through various startup companies that he help establish. Recognizing the importance of giving back to the community, Adam actively supports a number of local not for profit organizations. He currently sits on the board at the Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce; and is past chair of the Chambers Business Excellence Awards which recognizes local businesses and their achievements.
Adam is also a founding member of the Softech Alliance Network Board of Directors.
In addition to these locally focused activities, Adam is also a member of the Cisco Small Business Communications Advisory Council for North America, the IBM North American Advisory Council as well as a member of the Venture Tech Network, and HTG Peer Groups – both peer groups promote he collaboration of IT companies across Canada.
Frank Abbruzzese
President, AlphaKOR Group Inc.
Sector: Information and Communications Technologies
Frank is the President of AlphaKOR Group Inc. based in Windsor, ON. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Windsor (1988) and has 22 years of senior sales and management experience in the IT sector.
As President of AlphaKOR, Frank’s roles include vision and overall direction of the company, as well as managing the corporate team.
Aside from sitting on the Board of Directors for WEtech, Frank is also actively involved in the Membership Committee.
Frank has demonstrated his interest in serving the community personally and professionally by participating in the Windsor Better Business Bureau (Board Director 2000 – 2009, past Treasurer and Vice Chair), Windsor Executives Association (President 2002), and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce – Challenge Cup Committee (Chair 2000, 2001). AlphaKOR is a member of the Canadian Mould Makers Association, and the Windsor Construction Association. Frank also played an active role on the Old Riverside BIA, serving as the Vice-Chair of the association and supported/participated in a wide range of events to support local residents and organizations throughout the year.
Recently Frank Abbruzzese was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2012 Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
