A new social network created by two local entrepreneurs launched their private beta Tuesday. The new platform was created by co-founders Chris Anderson (owner of digital marketing firm Astral Social) and James Henderson (owner of software development firm Razzlewood Business Solutions). Easify is a social network which connects users with like-minded people to discover products they love.
“Easify began with a simple idea,” said Anderson. “Everyone should be able to find what they love. These days, those things aren’t always easy to find. Between many different websites, apps and stores, there’s just too much to choose from.”
The network hopes to be the first place you look when you are searching for a particular product, or just want to discover something new and interesting. In the future, users will even be able to buy and sell products with each other.
“We believe that what you love can have a huge impact on both you and the people you care about most. Amazing products spark new conversation and relationships. They bring people together”, says Anderson.
Easify allows users to post images of interesting products complete with descriptions and other information. It then recommends relevant products by placing users in small groups of like-minded individuals based on shared interest. This allows you and certain friends who enjoy hockey to discover new sticks together, while also pairing you with a different group of friends to discover a new shirt or shoes.
“We’ve created a whole new way of discovery,” said Henderson, Co-founder & CTO. “We ask people for their opinions on products all the time. Now you can discover and share them too.”
The personalized discovery network is available on all devices. Sign-up, get some friends to join you, and see what all the fuss is about at easify.it.
