What is Brandspire.com?
Brandspire is an online market place for branded business domain names. We help entrepreneurs, startups, inventors, product developers and mobile app developers brand their new products and establish an identity. We offer a variety of products and services to help other business brand themselves effectively and accelerate the start-up process.
Products/services you provide?
We sell branded business domain name packages. Our packages include a unique un-trademarked business name, a professionally designed logo and a .com domain name.
Anything new and exciting happening within your company?
We are a very young company, so every day is new and exciting! At the moment we are solely focused on getting exposure and establishing ourselves in the market. However, we are already looking at ways to grow our company and improve our product offerings. In our current state we offer a hypothetical business concept with a name, a logo and a domain name, which in itself is valuable, but we want to eventually be able to offer more comprehensive branding packages. We eventually want to be able to offer material in our branding packages such as promotional material , product designs and even pre-built, custom website templates.
How did you come up with your company name?
The short answer is that it is a combination of the words “Brand” and “Inspire”.
The original vision for Brandspire was actually much different that what it is today. Originally we wanted to create an online space where individuals could go and get inspiration for new products and businesses and resources to help brand these new ideas, Hence the use of “Brand+Inspire”. The actual company however evolved into what it is today which we feel is actually more valuable to the end user. However, it still remains a space where individuals or companies can go to find inspiration for new ideas and so it seemed appropriate to keep the original name.
What tech gadget or resource (i.e. blog, magazine, online tool, app, Youtube video, etc) has played a role in growing your company?
We use a variety of online resources that were vital in accelerating the development process and inventory aquisition. Our main focus is offering valuable and unique .com domain names to end users, which are increasingly hard to come by. To acquire the domain names that make up our inventory we actively participate in a handful of online domain auctions such as Sedo, GoDaddy and SnapNames. We also use name generation and valuation tools to help use conceive and asses the domain names that we offer to ensure they are unique, un-trademarked and have value. Examples of these services are NameStation, SitePrice and Trademarkia.

“We need to offer more creative spaces for young entrepreneurs to share and develop ideas and the resources to help them grow. ”
“We need to be actively trying to attract start-ups of all sizes to the area. This area has so much to offer them, and vice versa”
Spaces like the Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator and WEtech Alliance are vital in a young and developing start-up community like what we have in Windsor. We need more spaces to allow young entrepreneurs and start-ups to share, collaborate on and develop ideas. We also need to be offering more resources to help convert these ideas from casual conversations to developed and sustainable businesses. There is a lot of buzz inside the start-up community in Windsor, the area is saturated with ideas, but many individuals involved don’t have the resources, knowledge or confidence to actually peruse and developer these ideas.
We also need to be actively trying to attract start-ups of all sizes to the area. Windsor has so much to offer a new or mature business in any industry. With our proximity to the United States, tech rich labor pool, state of the art engineering facilities and relatively cheap real-estate it seems Windsor would be an obvious choice of area to establish and grow a new company. The issue is that we are not doing much to promote what we have to offer. Windsor has the potential to be a The Klondike for start-ups, the next Silicon Valley, but we have yet to really be discovered.

Why did you join WEtech Alliance?
We joined WEtech because we wanted to get involved in the start-up community in Windsor and network with like minded Young Entrepreneurs as well as get some exposure for our young company. Also, because we are primarily a B2B service there is potential for some client relationships to spawn from our involvement in the start-up community here.
