Windsor, ON – March 23, 2015 – Enactus Windsor and Pathway to Potential are thrilled to announce a new and exciting partnership with Libro Credit Union (www.libro.ca), which will contribute a total of $13,000 toward Windsor SOUP programs in 2015. Funding supports more than 10 Windsor SOUP events throughout the year, with $500 going to the winner of each event and $500 to cover the cost of the events.

“Libro Credit Union is passionate about supporting our local communities in southwestern Ontario,” said Liz Arkinstall, Libro Credit Union Community Engagement Manager. “One of the key areas to building prosperity is youth leadership, and Windsor SOUP is a shining example of a student micro funding initiative focused on bringing social change to the Windsor-Essex community.”

The Windsor SOUP events will continue to be hosted across Windsor-Essex, in locations such as the Walkerville Brewery (525 Argyle Road), led by Enactus Windsor Essex and partnered on by Libro, Pathway to Potential, the P & L Odette Charitable Foundation, EPICentre and WeTech Alliance. All of the Windsor SOUP partners are thrilled about the new partnership with Libro Credit Union.

Peter Corio, project manager of Windsor SOUP, comments on the new sponsorship with Libro Credit Union saying, “We are very grateful for the incredible support provided by Libro Credit Union. The focus of both organizations aligns perfectly, creating an ideal partnership. With Libro’s support, we will be able to further our mission of supporting social enterprises focused on community betterment.”
