Major Latin America buyers (Peru’s Telefonica, Banco Original, CityMovil and many more from different sectors)
Twelve (12) major IT companies plus eight (8) from the mining, clean tech and building industries are coming to Toronto seeking all kinds of tech solutions. The buyers include Telefonica Peru, Baja Telecom (Mexico), Banco Original (Brazil), CityMovil (Chile) and Indra (U.S), five (5) from the building technologies industry, four (4) from the clean technologies industry and four (4) from the mining sector. These companies are seeking all kinds of IT solutions from start-ups and established companies including telecom, fintech, media, public safety, SaaS, biometrics, IofT, sensors, mobile, billing and everything in between. Read all 20 profiles including those from the non-ICT buyers as they are also seeking IT solutions. These buyers are coming to Toronto on a program led by the Government of Ontario’s International Trade Branch (our own Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade) as part of the 2015 Toronto Global Forum – Pan American Edition. The buyers will select who they want to meet with. Only those approved by the Buyer will be contacted. Deadline to apply is Monday, June 8 (meetings will take place on Tuesday, July 7 in Toronto).
Ad:Tech trade mission to AdWeek in NYC, Sept. 28-Oct. 1
The Canadian Consulate in New York City and Government of Ontario’s International Trade Branch invite you to be part of the planned Ontario trade mission to NYC’s Advertising Week 2015 (www.advertisingweek.com). The program – subject to confirmation – would include market intelligence briefings, a pitching session, micro-trade show exposure, logo in a full page ad in the AdWeek magazine as well as two super delegate passes giving preferential access to more than 290 events, including over 240 seminars and workshops. The delegation would feature twelve companies featuring innovations in the mobile tech (3), big data (3), video & content (3) and new ad platforms (3) sectors. A panel of experts that would include a representative from AdTech and a NYC investor will select the twelve participating companies. The application form must include the program fee by cheque, which is to be processed once the company is approved (otherwise is returned). July 9-10, Toronto: LatAm Startups Conference. Startup Canada brings together the leaders of the Latin American start-up ecosystems and their Canadian counterparts for two intense days of speakers, panels and workshops. Investors, startups and public policy officials from across the region will be visiting Toronto, looking for ways to partner with Canada in the years ahead.
