January 14th 2015, Windsor ON – Ford Test Track and Optimist Park will come alive each night at dusk courtesy of 100% grid independent lighting built by local manufacturer Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies Inc.
And ‘off grid’ means zero future electricity costs to light both parks for the City of Windsor. The City of Windsor currently spends approximately 3M in electrical costs each and every year on street light illumination, and that cost is rising.
In December Petrolia Ontario commissioned Unconquered Sun built Solar Powered LED Street Lighting @ Woodlands Park. And soon Kenwick on the Lake will be furnished with the same off grid technology.
With previous orders for Solar LED Street Lighting already installed and operational in Windsor, Leamington, Chatham and more orders coming in from across the province each month, the Founder of Unconquered Sun can’t help noticing that off grid solar solutions are quickly gaining traction with Ontario’s municipalities..
‘I think the municipalities see Solar lighting and other off grid renewable energy solutions as the superior choice for the future, since they offer long term grid independence and of course no residual electrical costs after installation… Everybody knows the cost of electricity is going up, some estimates are 8 % per year, and that’s compounded annually!’ – Sean Moore, Founder Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies Inc.
In addition, Solar LED Street Lights can be installed in the most remote of areas, are completely carbon neutral, and provide lighting completely independent of the grid, even in an emergency or total black out.
