Windsor, Ontario (March 10, 2016) – WEtech Alliance invites local residents and companies to share stories of Windsor-Essex innovation & “Firsts”, both past & present, for the second round of its WINnovation Map.
WEtech launched its WINnovation Map last year – a collection of short paragraphs and slides highlighting local landmarks, people, and companies and the innovative products, programs or services they have introduced to the world.
With just three short simple words – Did You Know…? – the WINnovation Map tells a powerful story about a Windsor-Essex that is dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial.
For example – Did you know Radix Inc. inspects 284 billion gummy bear candies per year with its high-speed vision technology?
Did you know The Collavino Group built the foundations and support structures for the One World Trade Center in New York?
Did you know that Tecumseh’s Dr. Henry Breault invented the “Palm N Turn” pill bottle cap that helped reduce child poisonings by 91% across Canada & the U.S.?
Did you know that Windsor-Essex is home to the 1st electric street car system, 1st floating fountain & 1st motorized fire trucks in Canada and the 1st international underwater vehicular tunnel in the world?
The WINnovation Map not only inspires our community to take pride in the accomplishments of local people and companies, but it also provides a compelling reason for young graduates to build their careers and their lives in Windsor-Essex.
Join the #Windsor180 movement. Share your WINnovation with us.
Not sure what that looks like? Check out the WINnovation Map 1.0.
