UWIN_3D Print is a University of Windsor based 3D Printing Club. Their goal is to promote the concepts and practices of 3D Printing, as well as to facilitate an educational hands-on experience via workshops and events to those with an interest in 3D printing. Students will have an opportunity to explore this awesome new process to turn concepts from digital to reality.
They have a 3D technician on-hand during lab hours to help students troubleshoot their 3D models and printed prototypes, fix problems in 3D scans and assist with getting them ready for printing. The club is also trying to help students become familiarized with the entire 3D printing pipeline. UWIN_3D meets twice a week in the LeBel Building (Visual Arts department – SoCA) Rm 133-A (DDD Print Lab) and Rm 126 (Mac Lab). Check out their lab hours here.
UWIN_3D Print offers 3D printing services to club members as well as University of Windsor students. They run on a cost recovery model, meaning fees charged for 3D printing services are solely to cover the cost of 3D printing materials. Ultimately, they want you to create and innovate knowing you are getting the best price in the Windsor-Essex area.
