What is VRX?

VRX is a start-up in the Virtual Reality (VR) business, operating in both the production of VR products and services. VR provides you virtual access to locations around the world in full immersive 360º – as if you’re actually there. It was founded at Assumption High School as part of the ENACTUS program, in which students create and manage their own businesses. VRX aims to become an industry leader in the production VR content, and aims to eventually broadcast events in live 360º.

What Products/services do you provide?

VRX produces virtual reality headsets. These headsets are affordable and phone based; compatible with both iOS and Android devices. VRX also creates VR content, including 360º video tours. These videos provide an opportunity for businesses to market their locations in immersive VR. These videos are accessible for anyone to view in Virtual Reality using any VR headset, and will be available online on Youtube, 360Fly, and all VRX sites. VRX also creates 360º photography.  All content features full 4K resolution.

Anything new and exciting happening within your company?

VRX is now ready to begin production of VR content! VRX will be creating a 360º video tour of the University of Windsor EPICentre, as well as the Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator! Soon after, VRX will produce a video tour for a rental property owned by a local entrepreneur

How did you come up with your company name?

The “VRX” name was inspired by Elon Musk’s firm “SpaceX”. VRX is abbreviated for “Virtual Reality Exploration Technologies”. VRX aims to increase the availability of virtual reality headsets and content, allowing people to explore locations virtually from anywhere. As a result, VRX seemed the most appropriate.

Looking at your company’s future, what are you most excited about?

Looking at VRX’s future, I am most enthusiastic about the growth in Virtual Reality (VR) content. VR provides an excellent marketing opportunity for venue based businesses to showcase their locations. It would also be an effective marketing tool for selling property, through the availability of a 360º immersive VR tour. Also, VR will benefit consumers due to the efficiency of being able to virtually visit multiple locations in a short time period.

If you could have coffee with any business leader or industry expert, who would you choose, and why?

If I could have coffee with any business leader, it would be Elon Musk. He has launched several successful companies including PayPal, Tesla Motors, SpaceX, and OpenAl, all of which operate in different industries. I would be interested in learning from his experience as an entrepreneur and what inspired his revolutionary ideas.
