Windsor/Essex post-secondary students! This is your reminder that there is less than a week left to register for Code/Design to Win! In addition for the chance to win $5000 and a VIP Why Waterloo Experience (fully funded by Communitech, where students will have the opportunity to meet with and tour the facilities of such sponsors as Google, TD Lab, Sonova, Deloitte, Manulife, ZTR Control Systems, Axonify, Oracle NetSuite, ConsenSys, and Thalmic Labs), WETech Alliance and the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor have pledged the following prizes that only UWindsor and St. Clair students will be eligible to win at our preliminary competition on next Friday:

The UWindsor event runs 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Alumni Auditorium and promises a free pizza lunch. The competition is open to students registered in any Canadian post-secondary program. The top 75 competitors nationwide have a chance to qualify for the national competition in January 2019. These finalists will enjoy a weekend in Waterloo, fully funded by Communitech, where they will have the opportunity to meet with and tour the facilities of such sponsors as Google, TD Lab, Sonova, Deloitte, Manulife, ZTR Control Systems, Axonify, Oracle NetSuite, ConsenSys, and Thalmic Labs. Johanna Beneteau, internship co-ordinator in the UWindsor Office of Co-operative Education and Workplace Partnerships, says the competition provides experience valued by industry. “This is the type of event our co-op employers are telling us they want to see job seekers engage in to show their passion and interest in the computer science field,” she says.
