This interactive workshop will provide essential information everyone should know about Copyright and how it can be utilized as a part of a business strategy. Learn how to secure rights in your own creative content and how to avoid infringing others. The workshop will be delivered by Windsor Law students Keon Coleman, Nicole LaBerge, and Aarzoo Mahajan under the supervision of law Professor Myra Tawfik.
Speaker Bios:
Keon Coleman
Keon is a 2nd-year law student in the single JD program at Windsor Law. Prior to law school, Keon completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Guelph and his master’s in neuroscience at the University of Western. He is interested in utilizing his scientific background to eventually practice intellectual property law and consult on legal matters with a scientific component.
Nicole LaBerge
Nicole is a 3rd-year law student in the single JD program at Windsor Law. Before attending law school, she completed a graduate degree in chemistry at UBC and worked at a life sciences start-up in Culver City, California. She is passionate about assisting scientists and inventors in bringing their discoveries to market for the betterment of human welfare.
Aarzoo Mahajan
Aarzoo is a 2nd-year law student in the single JD program at Windsor Law. She has a background in health sciences and is interested in the intersections between intellectual property and scientific innovation.
