Cyberbreach Simulation: Choose Your Own Response

Cyberattacks are on the rise in Canada and around the world. Hackers and other cybercriminals are constantly developing new ways to attack systems and the agencies that host them. If companies hope to thrive going forward, they must learn how to minimize the risk of these attacks, and know how to act should one occur.

This October 26, MaRS and RSM Canada invite you to a special cybersecurity session where participants will walk through a simulated cyber breach. At certain points, attendees will be asked to make decisions in response to the attack. These decisions will determine the next steps in a continually unfolding scenario. At the end of the session, participants will discuss their collective result, as well as the other paths they could have taken. By the end of the event, attendees should be able to:

• Assess the elements of a cyber breach
• Determine a response plan to a cyber breach
• Compare outcomes of different responses
