Description
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the daily technical operations of the Faculty of Law computing environment for troubleshooting and maintenance of computer systems in order to provide dependable computing access.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:
- A University degree in Computing Sciences or a computer related field or a 3-year advanced college diploma in Computer Systems Technology – Networking
- In addition, a minimum three (3) years of demonstrated / documented experience in the following:
- Computer hardware, software and peripherals support
- Client/system troubleshooting in Windows/Linux/Mac environments
- Website development using Drupal or comparable frameworks
- Computer programming and scripting
- An understanding of the Faculty of Law functions, operations, processes and specialized software applications
- Must be bondable
- Commitment to ongoing training and education to remain current in the field
- Excellent communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with different personalities and to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
