The RIC Centre is now accepting submissions from recycling technology companies that are interested in competing for approximately $30,000 in prizes and the title of Recycling Idol. Any companies that feature technology used in the recycling of products in the following categories are welcome to submit their application by November 15th, 2012:
- Plastics and Packaging
- Tires
- Electronics
- Hazardous Waste
5 finalists will present their company pitch to an investor panel including the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Gord Miller.
Company Presentations: Dec. 6th, 2012 (8:00 am – 12 noon) at the Noel Ryan Auditorium, Mississauga Central Library.

The Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) operates the Used Tires Program, a province wide tire recycling program that diverts tires away from burning and landfilling to 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).
