Balloo is built on a principle of do good for yourself, be good for the planet. Many individuals share our vision for a better tomorrow. Our goal is to bring these people together and multiply their impact. When people use Balloo, we plant trees.
Balloo sends you 7 daily tasks and you pick 3 of them to engage with. They’re simple conscious things like riding a bike to work or turning off the lights when they aren’t in use. As you engage with them you earn points and when you earn points, we plant trees.
Don’t forget that you can sign up for closed beta at www.balloo.org!
Balloo is Here – Daedas Blog
“We’re excited to announce Balloo, an app for social good. We’ve been working behind the scenes, keeping a tight lid on the concept until it was just right. A half-year has passed with plenty of brainstorming sessions, making new friends and colleagues, and growing as a team.
Balloo gives you tasks that help you conserve. When you complete a task, mark it off your list to collect points. These points add up to trees. As an example, instead of buying your coffee in a paper cup, try reusable mug options. These tasks help you build habits that make a positive impact on the environment.
We want you to work with your friends and family to soften your carbon footprint. Compete with your network to help improve the influence your group has. As an incentive, when you use Balloo, we plant trees.
In the near future we will be releasing a friends and family beta. Initially we will be focusing on locally planted trees in Windsor/Essex County. To be a part of this release and testing, sign up at www.balloo.org.
In the future we will offer trees on a global and national level.
Today we are releasing the landing page for Balloo. The team has worked hard over the past six months to bring this idea together.
Sign up and stay connected with our beta release in the near future, don’t forget to share on facebook and twitter.”
