Windsor, Ontario: This Wednesday, November 19th marks Global GIS (global information systems) Day and Hackforge wants Windsor to get mappy! A Maptime event will be at the Hackforge headquarters at the front of the Windsor Public Library (850 Ouellette Ave) from 7 to 9PM.
Maptime is a collection of beginner-focused community groups for learning geospatial technology, techniques, and concepts, particularly using open source tools and hands-on practice and exercises. This is the second meeting of Maptime Windsor-Essex. If you’ve ever dreamt of mapping the world around you, this event is for you.
We’re pleased to have two speakers: Jason Pomerleau will giving a demo of TileMill/Carto CSS and Felix Brun will introduce us to Boundless’ OpenGeoSuite.
This a free event with no registration required. Beginners welcome.
