Boost Your City is in full force with application forms live on the website and posters blanketing the city that put a call out to small businesses who need a boost with their marketing initiatives. With less than a month to go until the event takes place on June 13th & 14th, the business and team member applications will remain live until Sunday May 31st so qualified small businesses, industry professionals and students can apply.
“The response has been great so far,” says Katie Stokes, project co-founder, “It’s been interesting to see the diversified collection of applications so far and we’re excited to see who else applies before the deadline on May 31st.”
The first ever Boost Your City event will be held on June 13th & 14th 2015 in Windsor Ontario. The two-day event will take place from 9am-4pm both Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th at the St Clair College Centre for the Arts downtown campus. One deserving business will have the opportunity to work with a team of qualified professionals over the course of 2 days and will emerge from the event with a full, comprehensive marketing and promotion package valued at up to $20,000 free of charge.
The focus is on retaining local talent, connecting recent grads and students with industry professionals and helping small businesses grow and thrive by providing them with free marketing materials, strategies and legal/financial advice that will propel them to the next level. Small businesses who fit the required criteria can apply to be chosen and any industry professionals and students who are willing to dedicate their skills and insight, can apply to be part of the team.
“This project was created to benefit the community as a whole,” says Jessica Apolloni, project co-founder, “As entrepreneurs, we’re excited to have the opportunity to help other small businesses shine.”
Boost Your City will be accepting business and team member applications until Sunday May 31st. Small businesses, students and industry professionals who are interested in getting involved can find the necessary forms and more information online at www.boostyourcity.com.
